Kuzbassrazrezugol Jan–Sep coal output rises 3.8% to 33 mln tns

MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- The coal output of Russia’s Kuzbassrazrezugol, part of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), rose by 3.8% on the year to 33 million tonnes in January–September, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The volume of surface stripping reached 237.5 million cubic meters in the period, and the enrichment plants of the company and its subsidiaries processed 29 million tonnes of coal.

Sales amounted to 31.9 million tonnes of products, with exports of 22.4 million tonnes and internal supplies of 9.6 million tonnes.

In October–December, the company plans to produce 12 million tonnes of coal.
